Bridge Mode / Basic configuration

Dear community,

In theory, this morning Intergga activate Bridge Mode. I want to use my Asus RT-AC87U to manage all my network but I have some doubts:

- Can I work with IPv4?

- Can I plug my Asus router into any Fibre Quickline modem port?

- Do I have to configure some PPPoE, L2TP or PPTP data?

- Do I have to disable DCHP in the Quickline router?

As of now, mu Asus router get a 192.168.X WAN IP instead of the external IP.

MarkusQuick Das stimmt so nicht ganz. So wie er schreibt, hat er einen Glasfaseranschluss. Da ist Port 1-3 normal als Router konfiguriert und Port 4 ist dann der Bridge Port.

- Do I have to configure some PPPoE, L2TP or PPTP data? No

- Do I have to disable DCHP in the Quickline router? No

If it is not working you have to contact intergga or quickline again. sometimes they do it wrong because fiber and Coax have different configurations and they dont get it.

With Quickline Fibre you can activate / deactivate the Bridge-Mode yourself in the Quickline Cockpit. Button “Internet verwalten” / “WLAN-Einstellungen”:

Bridge-Mode is always on Port 4 (and 10 GBit/s Port on the Zyxel 7501 B0) active.

Normally you get a public IPv4 address and a /56 IPv6 prefix in dual stack.

As long as you get a local address like 192.168.x.x your modem is not in bridge mode. Contact support. Once the modem is set in bridge mode it is not anymore a router device and you don’t have DHCP on it. Just plug your own router to the modem. No additional configuration is needed.

Thanks all for ur information. Looks like now all works… only thing, the WLAN section in the Cockpit website disappears…
